Pointer Mom Checklist: Join the Community!
Hello and Welcome back!
In the world of dog ownership, I have yet to find a more tight knit community than the German Shorthair Pointer Community. People truly LOVE this breed and represent it at any possible occasion. GSP owners take this "community" feeling to the next level.
I have been apart of five GSP related Facebook pages since bringing Fynn and Rey home. While scrolling posts in these pages you quickly realize that you're not crazy, and you're dogs not mini satan.
Here are some fun things you'll hear about on these pages:
Until next time, our fetching Princess, Rey.

I have been apart of five GSP related Facebook pages since bringing Fynn and Rey home. While scrolling posts in these pages you quickly realize that you're not crazy, and you're dogs not mini satan.
Here are some fun things you'll hear about on these pages:
- All GSPs lay spread eagle when they are sleeping soundly and yes, dogs have belly buttons too!
- Most GSPs are obsessive about fetch and tennis balls. Any other toy will be destroyed within hours of receiving it. Better teach your pup to shed hunt because antlers get spendy quick!
- We all truly NEED the "Cozy Cave" so our babies can sleep in their own bed, under their own covers, with their legs stuck out stiffer than boards.
- GSPs issues stem from the fact they are too smart for their own good. You thought that 6 foot fence was tall enough? That squirrel provoked me! You thought pushing the food I want to the center of the counter would stop me? I'm really good with my arms.
- GSPs are straight out of the movie Mean Girls. "You can't sit with us" turns to "You can't play with us" and most of us find that owning another breed would just be pointless.
Until next time, our fetching Princess, Rey.
