2017 Hunting Year in Review
Hello Again!
As the snow starts piling up in Minnesota, and the temperatures are no longer above -10, I wanted to reflect on our very first hunting season. Our last day out was December 28th which was sad for the whole family but the Duo never disappoints.
Fynn and Rey had their first wild Pheasant seasons this year after spending five weeks each at Willow Creek Kennels and Hunting in the months leading up to October 14th, 2017. We had ran Fynn and Rey at game farms leading up to opener, but we didn't know what they would do with a bird that wasn't in a netted enclosure its entire life. Needless to say they were flawless in our eyes, minus the opening day mix up with a barbed wire fence (Rey was just fine, patched up and good to go for day two).
Over the last two months any time we were able to go out we were out. After work for the last hour until close too many times to count. We believe that a good dog is a tired dog... and hunting does just that :) Below are some of our favorite memories from 2017's Pheasant Season.
